Joseph Mayon

Joseph Mayon, a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, studied extensively at Louisianna State University, University of Denver and Brooklyn College. He recently sang Tamino in Underworld Opera's production of The Magic Flute; Elvino in West Side Opera's concert version of Bellini's La Sonnambula; and the lead in the world premiere of Rain, a new popera by composer Hae-Kyung Park, both Off-Broadway and with the Kay Theatre. He has worked closely with the Remarkable Theater Brigade and toured their productions and the Off-Broadway productions of Shot and G Train both by composer Christian McLeer. He created the role of Puck in NY Stage Originals' world premiere and national tour of Dream and performed Fred in the national tour of Scrooge, both by Philip Stern. This season, he will be seen in SM Opera Company's productions of Donizetti's Anna Bolena, Verdi's Oberto and Bellini's I Puritani.
