Gustavo Morales, baritone [Moralès] possesses professional credits in roles such as Silvio in I Pagliacci, Schaunard and Marcello in La Bohème, Orfeo in Orfeo, Fiorello and Figaro in Paisiello’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Danilo in The Merry Widow, Marullo in Rigoletto as well as the baritone solos for the Mozart and Fauré Requiems and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle. Mr. Morales has appeared with the Teresa Carreño Opera, Opera de Caracas, Fundación Primo Casale, Treasure Coast Opera Society, Riverside Opera of New York, Opera Northeast, New Jersey Verismo Opera, Regina Opera, Opera Company of Brooklyn, Orquesta Sinfónica Venezuela, Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal de Caracas, Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar, American Festival Symphony; University of Florida Symphony, Central Florida Symphony and Staten Island Symphony. Mr. Morales is a busy recitalist and has toured extensively throughout Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, Italy and the U.S. Mr. Morales has appeared in more than 40 operas and Zarzuelas and has been praised for his interpretations in both comedy and drama. Mr. Morales is a native of Caracas, Venezuela and holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Florida. He has been awarded with the University of Florida Concerto Competition Prize in 1993, the National Association of Teachers of Singing Southeast Region Award and the Venezuelan National Council for the Arts and Culture Studies Abroad Grant.
