John Tsotsoros

John Tsotsoros has been described as singing "powerfully and very expressively" (Oberlin Review) and as having "a ringing golden voice." (The Italian Voice) His brilliant and sonorous tenor voice makes him a force for the operatic stage.
    John Tsotsoros most recently performed the roles of Fenton in Falstaff and Freddy in My Fair Lady at the Natchez Opera Festival in Mississippi. He also recently performed Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Regina Opera of Brooklyn and performed Beppe with the New Jersey Verismo Opera in their production of Pagliacci. Tsotsoros appeared with the Tulsa Opera in their mainstage production of The Little Prince as Baobab and Hunter, and as the Prince in their education outreach performance of Rusalka. He also completed an apprenticeship recently with Lake George Opera, where he sang the role of Frank in the professional premier of Our Town by Ned Rorem, and was featured in the apprentice concert of Mozart and Menotti. Tsotsoros was a resident artist last year at the Natchez Opera Festival, where he sang the role of Luigi in Il Tabarro, and also appeared in Fiddler on the Roof as Fyedka. The Kansas City Puccini Festival engaged Tsotsoros three years, where he performed the roles of Cavaradossi in Tosca, the title role in Edgar, and Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut. Tsotsoros was also invited to appear as Luigi in a concert of Il Tabarro at Oberlin College. He performed Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi at the Kansas City Conservatory of UMKC. Tsotsoros has been recognized several times by the Metropolitan Opera Council, and was the 2nd prize winner at the Florida Grand Opera Competition.
    John Tsotsoros is excited to be making his debut with the Hudson Opera Theater in the role of Don José.
