- THE 2011-2012 SEASON
- The biblical tale of the
indomitable Samson, hero of the Hebrews, and the wily and beautiful
Philistine, Delilah, who will discover the secret of his strength.
Samsons inevitable fall and his struggle to redeem himself
is a story as old as time itself. (Their very names, mean day
and night in Hebrew.) With a score of endless, exquisite
melody, inexhaustible orchestral color and descriptive musical
invention, we watch as Samson soars with righteous energy, is
overcome by his own weakness, plunges into the depths of self-loathing
and despair, and finally emerges, once again, as a divine champion!
Dont miss HOTs performances
of this 19th Century masterpieceas current today as it
was 3000 years agopresented in concert with an all-star
cast, and featuring our critically acclaimed Chorus and Orchestra,
conducted by Ron De Fesi.
