- THE 2011-2012 SEASON
- We commemorate the
100th anniversary of its sinking by presenting a special concert
of music as it would have been heard in the salons and dining
rooms of the Titanic on its last night afloat. The tale of Titanics
brave musicians is legendary, but lost to legend are the fabulous
arrangements that they played: everything from Beethoven and
Irving Berlin to waltzes by Strauss and ragtime by Scott Joplin.
In this exciting and toe-tappingly delicious concert, Maestro
De Fesi recreates these arrangements so that we can glimpse,
for a moment, the grandeur, the fun and the excitement that held
sway aboard the great liner...
